  • Established in 1926 by William Whetter in the village of Lorneville, Ontario.
  • The Business operated under the name "Whetter Insurance Agency" until 1980 when the name was changed to "Whetter Insurance Brokers".
  • A sub office, Oaklin Insurance was opened in Lindsay, Ontario in 1984.
  • The two offices combined operations in 1994 and the name was changed to "Whetter, Oaklin Insurance Brokers Inc."
  • The principals of the Brokerage are: David West, Wayne West and Ron Wilson with a combined 90 years of insurance experience.

 

 

 

Our operations include property and automobile insurance, commercial and farm insurance as well as life insurance. We are also one of the largest brokers of antique, classic, rod and custom auto insurance in Ontario.

We have built a strong, successful organization by keeping our promises, one policy holder at a time.  Our promise to provide quality insurance products at competitive rates and even more importantly to provide our policy holders a level of service that exceeds their expectations.  This was our business promise way back in 1926 and it remains our pledge to policy holders today.  Good ideas are timeless.
